The office staff are very friendly, helpful and pleasant. You can NOT beat the location - the best SBISD elementary school in the city, in my opinion. Located next to a beautiful park, which is adjacent to the school track area, which is left open for use evenings and weekends, which is amazing. Most evenings and weekends, there are lots of people out running, walking their dogs, playing with their children, youth teams playing soccer or baseball, etc. Really nice. You are also close to EVERYTHING Easy access to both the Beltway and I-10. Community is really quiet overall, considering how many families live here.

Yes the apartments are very very old, but to be honest they are the cheapest apartments anywhere near this nicer side of gessner and I-10. Everywhere else I looked was over $1500-$2000 for a studio apartment! If you want to be in this location at this price, you must make sacrifices. I have not experienced any crime, the people are friendly, they let any size pet (but you have to pay), i love the covered parking spot, my apartment also has a good size back yard! perfect for my dog! That is the best part honestly. My apartment rent also includes electricity which is nice for budgeting, but the way the a/c works is really weird and some times you will be burning up or freezing depending on the Houston weather changes, but I just got a space heater/fan and I can tough it out for a few days. The location is just great. right across the street from the mall, there is a small park, excellent access to I-10 and the beltway, and you can be almost anywhere in 15 minutes without traffic .

|Recommended: NoNow an OK complex in an outstanding neighborhood.. — The factors that made me enjoy life here for most of my 15 years here just are not at the same level that they used to be. The location is nice but the recent sale to another real estate firm seems to have mattered. Response to many maintenance requests take awhile. A recent simple request on a bathroom sink clog took 8 days and 3 calls, for example. That kind of performance was unheard of in the past. Most of your scale ratings would have been all '5's about 3 years ago, except for parking(I don't own a car, to be fair). These factors, along with lower rent choices elsewhere, have made me decide to leave next month. Memorial City Apartments is now an O.K. complex in an outstanding neighborhood.
